September Boat & Yacht Shows 2026: The Biggest Month in European Boating

September is one of the most important months in the European boating calendar. Within just three weeks, three very different boat shows bring together buyers, boatbuilders, equipment manufacturers, designers and marine technology companies.

Cannes Yachting Festival | 8–13 September 2026

The season starts on the French Riviera with the Cannes Yachting Festival, one of Europe’s leading in-water boat shows. More than 700 boats are expected across Vieux Port and Port Canto, ranging from smaller performance boats and RIBs to sailing yachts, multihulls and large motor yachts.

For buyers, Cannes is particularly important for new model launches and world premieres. It is also becoming increasingly relevant for electric propulsion, sustainable boating, advanced materials and new onboard technologies.

Southampton International Boat Show | 18–27 September 2026

Southampton is the major UK consumer boating event. Its strength is its breadth: motorboats, sailing yachts, RIBs, engines, electronics, equipment and watersports all sit within one show.

For boat buyers, it provides an opportunity to compare a large number of brands in one location, while manufacturers and suppliers gain direct access to the UK leisure marine market.

Monaco Yacht Show | 23–26 September 2026

At the premium end of the market, the Monaco Yacht Show brings together the international superyacht industry at Port Hercule. Superyachts, luxury tenders, shipyards, designers, brokers, equipment suppliers and technology companies compete for the attention of some of the industry’s most valuable clients.

Taken together, Cannes, Southampton and Monaco provide three very different views of the boating market — from mainstream boat ownership and innovative smaller craft to high-performance yachts and the global superyacht sector.

For buyers and the marine industry alike, September is the month when many of the boats, technologies and trends shaping the next season become visible.
