Grant Announcement – £30M Boost for Clean Maritime Innovation Through CMDC6
The Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (CMDC6) is injecting £30 million into the maritime industry to accelerate research and development in sustainable shipping technologies.
Since 2022, the UK Shipping Office for Reducing Emissions (UK SHORE), part of the Department for Transport (DfT), has invested over £200 million in more than 150 projects aimed at cutting emissions in the maritime sector. This funding has attracted over £100 million in private investment, supporting over 300 organisations across all four UK nations.
By fostering innovation in clean maritime solutions, CMDC6 continues to drive the UK’s transition to a greener, more sustainable shipping industry.
